PP - Choreography and taking inspiration from boy bands

big time rush
For the performance section of the video we plan to take inspiration from traditional boy bands. Boy bands tend to do quite stationary dancing with hand movings and stepping forward all synchronised, a bit cheesy but effective. We have chosen to do this as it will make the performance look more sharp and put together whilst also giving the group the feel of unison and being like 'sister' like girl bands often like to portray themselves.
NSYNC

The Pussycat Dolls
Unlike American girl band, like The Pussycat Dolls, who tend to involve full on upbeat dance routines in their videos, British groups tend to keep more to basic moves and keep the performance less urban. As the track is not upbeat and is more of a ballad, a complicated dance routine wouldn't have fit with the genre, however the boy band technique would work much more effectively. It also makes the group look like they have more musicality and rhythm which will help make our video look more genuine and the actors in the video to look like a genuine girl group.
